You may return functionality back by setting Keyboard switch to Ctrl+Shift and turning it off back. (While this thread for example says that the problem gone with April 2018 update - )Īfter a number of tests and guesses I realized that it stops working after you press Ctrl+Alt+Del (and press Esc or lock PC and unlock). This fixed problem on Win7, but on Win10 it fixed the problem for a very limited time (like 15 mins) and stopped working. For sure on both PC's you need to remove Keyboard switch shortcut (as per ). Tried to investigate and here is what I found. I faced this problem only now, found many articles on internet but did not found solution.

(Build 8827.2148) - I think most of the changes apply to Office 365 only - I have Professional Plus 2016.ĭon't want to reinstall my office as it will reset all my settings :(Īny ideas how I can get my keyboard shortcut to work again? Tried using excel in safe mode - still not working.Ĭhecked the last update, I have Version 1712

Tried deleting files and folders in C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel

When I try to unhide using the keyboard shortcut, the excel would stop working and restart :( I checked the settings in Language > Advanced Settings > Between Input Languages > Change Key Sequence > Switch Keyboard Layout > set to Not Assigned - so this is ok. Excel keyboard shortcut CTRL+Shift+) to unhide column suddenly stopped working.
